Hi, I’m Kwanza Bohnert — the heart and hands behind Faith & Threads.

My journey has been shaped by many roles — wife, mother, sister, daughter, and educator. After earning my degrees from Pratt Community College and Wichita State University, I jumped into the classroom and have spent the last five years there, pouring my heart into education and coaching volleyball & other sports. Each step has deepened my passion for building others up and creating spaces where people feel seen, encouraged, and inspired.

Originally from the Houston area, my journey has been filled with travel, growth, and faith-led purpose. Six years ago, we planted our lives in Oklahoma, and today, I'm proud to call this community home as we grow our family, with our amazing son and three spunky pets.

Faith & Threads was born out of my love for crafting, creating, and seeing the beauty of blank spaces being renewed and transformed,  much like what Jesus does for each of us. It’s about more than just apparel or gifts; it’s about encouragement, community, and bridging the gaps that too often leave people feeling unseen.

Family is at the center of everything we do. Every piece we create carries a piece of our story: a reminder that with a little love, creativity, and faith, ordinary things — and ordinary moments — can be transformed into something extraordinary.
